(WOW- Last week was crazy!!)Â
Hi Everyone, so, we really wanted to thank you for this....
Last week, we introduced our BEEF VARIETY BOX for those who wanted a smaller, 20LB. try-a-variety- of meats (steaks, roasts, ground) without buying a whole share..
It was a HUGE HIT...
So much so that we ran out of stock within a few hours...
That is the bad news.
The good news is, we had to send in (2) more cows and we are sending in another (2) cows at the end of the month to fill the orders!
Which means, if you still wanted to order a box, we are going to have about 10-15 extra boxes available!
If you want to order you can get one of these limited shares by clicking here. Delivery will still be free on these boxes as well.
We are also going to be running a special on our Burger Boxes and on our Ground Beef as well...
We will have 300-400lbs. of fresh ground beef and burger patties coming back the first week of February as well...
So you will get the freshest Premium Beef available.
You can use the word: PATRIOT as your coupon code when you check out!
So many of our customers rave about our ground beef....
The reason is that we do not use the scraps only to make our ground beef...
We use premium cuts from the cow, including the primal cuts to make a ground beef that is far tastier and superior to what is make in the store...
You see, how it works in the store is that whatever parts are left over becomes the ground beef...
That is why it is often chewy and gross...
As for why the store beef is fattier and slimy- it is because many producers mix in pig fat to add to the volume of the beef...
By doing so, the burger "appears" as bigger- but the issue becomes when you grill it, you will be left with a small hockey puck sized burger..
With out beef, it is much different.
It will maintain its size because we do not add fat- and, the burger itself is grass-fed and grass-finished so there is minimal extra fat on the meat...
It is leaner and more tasty...
Anyway, just a basic education on ground beef and I hope it answers some of your questions!
We do still have some shares available as well for Late January and February butchering dates for anyone interested in 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or Whole Beef Shares!
Order your shares today.
Well, it is time to go!
We had a beautiful new Black Angus calf born yesterday on the farm.
She is gorgeous and is going to make a great mom in about 18-24 months!
It is so rewarding when animals are born on the farm...
It never gets old and is always a special moment...
This time of year though we have to check on them so they stay nice and warm and safe!
(She has a new jacket coming today!- Even the animals have style at Freedom Farms!)
Ok- see you next week...
Have an amazing one!!
