Hi Everyone, we wanted to take the time to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah.
This is a beautiful time of year where families get together to enjoy (or scream at) each other- especially over politics!
But all in all, it is a great time to relax and spend time with family- as well as reflect on the previous year.
For us, at Freedom Farms it has been an amazing year thanks to you.
We nearly quadrupled our goal and we were able to provide so many families with amazing beef, pork, chicken, turkeys, and eggs this year.
The stories you shared about enjoying and gathering around your tables, enjoying our meats has been very inspiring and is what keeps us going- especially on days like today where it is 0-degrees outside and we need to feed/ check the animals to make sure they are fed and safe.
The most harsh thing for an animal is heavy weather changes- like yesterday morning it was in the 40s and by the night, it was -2.
SO, today we will spend the morning inspecting the heard and the pigs, ducks and chickens to make sure all are ok.
Freezing water is also a big concern for us.
On a positive note, we shot our new commercial a few weeks ago and it was a lot of fun (And, it is really taking off on youtube!).
We had one of our customers son-in-law(s), Nathaniel do the shoot and he did a fabulous job.
One of our goals is to continue to tell stories- bringing you all closer to the farm, even if you have not been here.
Our goal is to make you feel like you are a part of it- no matter where you are.
There is something very comforting about knowing where your food comes from- and who is raising it.
Also, last week, many of our customers like Tess Regan and Bryan Walker tried our recipe for making Tallow and they did a fantastic job!
We always encourage customers to try new cuts of beef that they have not had before- or ask for parts of the cow that maybe they are not 100% familiar with!
Personally, one of the cuts I have been having more of is the chuck steak. It is thin, it has just enough fat, and it is the type of steak that does not sit heavy in the gut after eating!
Anyway, we just want all of you to have a wonderful holiday season.
For those who are traveling, travel safe.
For those who are staying home, enjoy some pajama time and catching up on the latest Yellowstone or Tulsa King episode!
And, if you are interested in some last minute winter beef, we still have some shares left for this winter season.
You can order below!
Order Beef.
Order Pork.
Order Ground Beef.
Thanks for reading and we will see you next week!
Have an awesome day...
Your Farmers,
DANA & LAUREN
