How Buying Off The Farm Works!

Hi Everyone!-
We are so excited to share with you that our 2022 Meat Share Program is officially open!!
And, it is off to a great start!
We have over 10+ cows sold already and over 10 pigs!
Now that the pastures are cleared of snow, the cows are already starting to spread out on the pastures and are nipping at the grass.
We did want to share this with you...
When you go to our website, you may see that we sell 1/4, 1/2, and Whole Cows.. and the same for pigs...
For some, who have not purchased directly from a farm, we wanted to tell you that you are purchasing that size share but all the meat is cut for you to your liking (cuts, thickness, etc.)..
**This allows us to get you the best meat for the best possible price as opposed to selling individual cuts of meat.
What makes Freedom Farms different is that we custom raise our cows, pigs, and chickens for you and then we custom butcher.
This means we will go over what is known as a "cut sheet"- where we work together to select the cuts that you would like and the butcher will cut as many of those cuts as they can for you.
** we can also do a cut sheet for you using our butchers cut sheet if you are pressed on time.
So, when you receive your share of meat, it will be boxed up and each cut, your steaks, roasts, ribs, and ground beef will all be individually packaged just like when you purchase at the store but ours will be deep frozen and vacuum sealed for ultimate freshness!
We wanted to make this clear because some actually thought a 1/4, 1/2, or Whole Cow will be arriving at the front steps of their home and they would have to cut the slab of meat!
So, if you would like to reserve your share of either Grass-Fed Beef and/or Pasture Raised Pork, we would love to be your farmers!

This week we also had another 5 calves born! So the farm now has over 100 head of cattle and 60+ pigs!
So cool to see the herds growing- rewarding as can be!!
