Hi Everyone!-

The last two days have been a lot of fun here at Freedom Farms!

On Thursday, we had 40-chicks arrive at the farm. They are so cute and are already under the heat lamp and growing!

These are Jumbo Cornish Cross chicks and the best part about them is that they grow nice and quick and make a delicious tasting chicken!

We currently have them in the brooder to keep them safe until we can let them out on pasture which should be in about 2-3 weeks.

Once they get on pasture, they will be free-ranging and eating all the good stuff that nature provides for healthy growth and development.

We are taking orders for 30 of these chickens- ready in early December.

So, if you would like to order a chicken or two or three, you can do so by clicking here.

Also, this past week we brought 4-cows into the butcher for our November meat share members- which means, by early November there will be some delicious meat being served!

And, we also had some beautiful pink piggers arrive at the farm as well. In addition to our Spotted and Duroc Pigs, these new additions are York Landrace Pigs which are known for producing great bacon and even fuller hams!

These are your typical pink pigs! They are also so well mannered which makes spending time with them really fun.

The pigs that are a part of our meat share program will be headed to the butcher on November 1st.. so, if you have any last minute plans to order your pasture-raised pork, you can order here.

Also, we still have a few quarter shares of Grass-Fed Beef left from this years Fall Meat Share program!

If you want to order a share from our Fall Meat Share- you can click here!

Well, that is this weeks animal update! The farm is rocking, the leaves are turning, and we are really having a blast producing the best meats in the region!

As always, if you are in the area, make sure to stop by and see us! We are a small family farm and want you to be a part of it!

Ok- see ya next week!
